With herds of miniature horses, ponies, and full-size horses, we proudly educate students on all sizes of horses, and offer smaller riding ponies for students nervous around the larger full-size ones.
The first hour of each class is considered 'classroom learning' focused on learning about horses, their care, equipment used, and other animals around the farm. There will be quizzes and homework to reinforce a productive learning atmosphere. The second hour is dedicated to a structured riding lesson in our arena. The third hour is dedicated toward helping to care for the animals around the farm and understanding the kind of work goes into keeping a farm operational. Because each course builds off the knowledge learned in earlier classes, students must take classes in order. (You cannot take Class 103 unless you have completed 101 and 102.)
With herds of miniature horses, ponies, and full-size horses, we proudly educate students on all sizes of horses, and offer smaller riding ponies for students nervous around the larger full-size ones.
Students learn about more than just horses! They will learn about and help care for our goats, bunnies, ducks, chickens, guinea hens, and pot belly pig, too!
Students will also learn about more than just typical riding horses — we are home to wild-caught mustangs and ex-racehorses, too! Students will meet these horses and learn about their histories.
Horses can do much more than just riding! Students will also learn about and experience other jobs that horses can have, such as driving, as well as the history of those jobs and roles in history.
